Between One Shore And Several Others (Last Supper)

Description: 'Between One Shore and Several Others'  is a series that Vivek Vilasini has been pursuing for the past several years.  The idea that all cultures are connected with, and influenced by, one another forms the core of the expression. These works are translations, re-mixes, and transcoding of information from one format to another, dissolving geographical, cultural, and historical boundaries  without necessarily entirely displacing the original idea.  While the simulacra could be seen as a continuation, fulfillment, or subversion of the existing work, the intend is always to use the new imagery to seduce the viewer to re-examine the work within the contemporary context.
